Kelly Piper, APRN, NP-C
Board-Certified Family Nurse Practitioner
Kelly grew up in Katy, Texas. In 2002, she graduated with honors from Texas A&M University with her Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology in 2002.
In 2005, Kelly then went on to graduate with a 4.0 GPA and was Valedictorian in her nursing program at Baptist School of Health Professions in San Antonio, Texas. After graduating from her nursing program, Kelly worked several years as an R.N. in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (N.I.C.U.) at both civilian and military hospitals in San Antonio.
In 2009, Kelly moved to Tulsa, Oklahoma to help her family through some difficult times. With a love and passion for both her medical career and teaching, Kelly decided to pursue additional education. In 2015, Kelly again graduated at the top of her class with a 4.0 GPA from Oklahoma Wesleyan University. Kelly received a Master of Science in Nursing, with a focus in Education.
In 2018, Kelly completed her 4th degree, and graduated with honors from South University in Savannah, Georgia, with her post-graduate degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner.
Kelly is now a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner, and is licensed to practice medicine in multiple states, including Oklahoma, Missouri, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, and Nevada.
Kelly belongs to the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine and the Obesity Medicine Association, which allows her to be able to keep up with the latest research, attend seminars, and collaborate with medical providers around the country. This is especially helpful in our practice with many overweight and diabetic patients suffering with peripheral neuropathy.
Kelly has found a passion for helping those suffering with peripheral neuropathy and not just from a temporary pain relief standpoint, but from a regenerative and corrective approach.
Kelly feels very strongly about utilizing evidence-based medicine, along with her education and experience, and keeping her patients safe and healthy while addressing their wellness goals. Therefore, Kelly usually approaches health and wellness concerns with a combination of advanced technology, diet, supplements/vitamins, lifestyle factors to consider, and prescription medication when necessary; she does not believe in simply throwing a medication at every symptom, especially if it may be unsafe for her patient(s).
If you are looking for a quick fix, high doses of prescription medication, or unsafe practices, you will be disappointed. However, if you are looking to become a healthier version of you, you want an individualized plan of care, and you realize that it is all about progress over perfection, Kelly would love to visit with you and have a conversation about what's troubling you, your concerns, your goals and, if it's not too late, how we can help you reach those goals you have set for yourself as quickly as possible!
